Affirmations

What are they?    Short messages to your subconscious about what to believe.

How do they work?  By the Natural Law of Attraction:  

What you think about (believe & tell yourself) is what you get (is attracted to you). 

“What you think about, comes about!”

 

COMPOSITION:

1.         Affirmations are short, simple, declarative sentences easily repeatable.

2.         Affirmations are stated in the present tense.

3.          Affirmations are positively worded. (no negatives; no words about what you don’t want)

4.         Affirmations are about you, not other people.

5.         Use words that are strong, but comfortable to you. 

6.         Use emotional language; words that have “juice” or power.

7.         Affirmations are meaningful to you.

Example: If "I am the source of my abundance" doesn't feel right to you, consider changing it to "God is my source," or "My connection to Infinite Wisdom is my source," or "My soul is the source of my abundance."

8.          Word them so they are believable to you as possible, (but a stretch is good!)

If "I have a million dollars" seems overwhelmingly impossible, change it to "My income now increases by at least ten percent every three months."

Realize that they may sound like a lie at first, but this will change as you see them become reality through your conviction that they are truth!

9.         Develop a short tag line that summarizes all your affirmations. 

For example, for being focused and organized: “Put away then play; Focus then fun.”  Example for maintaining a healthy & disease free body: “Every little cell is happy and well”.  This tag line will become your constant reminder.

10.    Conclude with:      “I am grateful that this (or something better) is manifesting for me right now!”

 

USE:

1.         Say them. Write them. Post them where you will see them. Chant them.

2.         Put them on a cassette or ipod and listen to them often. Do it with feeling!

3.         Say or play them as you fall asleep a night and first think upon awakening.

4.         Repeat them often.

5.         Trust, Allow, Accept, Believe, and KNOW that they will work.

"Whoever says to this mountain, “be lifted up and thrown into the sea.” and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it shall be done for him.” (Mark 11:23 )
