MANDALA HEALING The term Mandala comes from Sanscrit . . . where it means "sacred circle." Mandalas have been associated with healing energies in many cultures. The Dalai Lama sent Tibetan monks to the United States after 9/11 to create a large sand mandala for healing intervention for the victims and their families.
The creation of a mandala while hypnotized offers the opportunity to express in graphic form the deepest messages from within. Usually symbols emerge from the subconscious to form the content of the mandala. The symbols have unique meaning to the creator of the mandala, and reflects their own current situation along their spiritual journey.
Subsequent viewing of the mandala and meditative searching for the meaning of the symbols has a very powerful and continuing impact.
